Additionally, it introduces exciting new roles and responsibilities for those looking to take on more within our wish granting process. Airport Greeter Mentor:
The Airport Greeter Mentor will assist volunteers looking to partner with an experienced Airport Greeter to support families at the airport. This role involves working closely with new Wish Boost and Airport Greeter volunteers to provide direct support to families.
Wish Discovery Mentor:
The Wish Discovery Mentor will assist in supporting all new Wish Discovery volunteers seeking to be partnered with an experienced Wish Discovery volunteer. This position will work closely with all new Wish Discovery volunteers to support the discovery process, which includes training, providing resources, and offering guidance
Wish Booster Mentor:
The Wish Boost Mentor will assist in supporting Wish Boost volunteers who are seeking to be partnered with an experienced Wish Granting volunteer to work on aspects of the wish granting journey after the discovery visit has taken place. This position will work closely with all new Wish Boost volunteers to support the boost process, which includes training, providing resources, and offering guidance.
Wish Granter Mentor:
The Wish Grantor Mentor will assist in supporting Wish Granting volunteers who are seeking to be partnered with an experienced Wish Granting volunteer.
This position will work closely with all new Wish Granting volunteers to support the discovery & boost process, which includes training, providing resources, and offering guidance.

Important Mentorship Program Eligibility & Commitment Details:
- Volunteers must be an active Make-A-Wish Arizona volunteer for at least one year and have completed 5–10 wishes in roles such as Wish Grantor, Wish Discovery, Wish Booster, or Airport Greeter.
- Mentors commit to working with new volunteers, guiding them through the wish‑granting process.
- Mentors must be willing to attend quarterly meetings.
- Flexibility is essential. Mentors should be comfortable working with volunteers who may live in different cities, have varying schedules, and participate in both virtual and in‑person opportunities.
